As I sit here for the final hours of 2009, I look back at the last year. It was an amazing year that was awesome and sucked at the same time. I met some amazing people while going to IZEAFest and Blog World Expo. I have made some amazing friends on-line and off-line. I also got laid off and like I have said, it happens.
Looking ahead to 2010, I have a list of things I want to get done. I don’t really call them resolutions or goals. I already set my one goal with Project New Me (#newme). I’ll give you a snap shot of some of the things I want to get done.
- Organize my massive DVD collection
- Organize my massive library of books
- Get my Marketing Blog off the ground
- Transfer my Rules for My Daughter to WordPress
- Clean up my StumbleUpon and Google Reader and start using it effectively
- Reconnect with one friend a month that I have let fall by the way side. Facebook is great for this
- Do a photo of the day for year. This is inspired by my friend, BenSpark.com. I am going to use Flickr. This will be good for my #newme Project New Me
- Do at least one post a week on Dad-o-Matic
- Read a book a week. Right now I read 3 books in a week and then don’t read any for 4 weeks. Julien Smith has a great post with some tips on how to read a book a week
- Start commenting and stop lurking on people’s blogs
- Finish the redesign of this blog
Most of these will be accomplished in next week or so. I have a couple other ideas that I have kicking around. Some of them are collaborative with people such as BenSpark.com, Dad of Divas, MommaDJane, Jerri Ann Reason, and Scott Perkins.
