I write in a lot of different places. In case you didn’t know, I write at Dadomatic, LoseTheLaptop, Blogalogues, and MemphisConnect. I write about a lot of different things. This blog has gone through a lot of changes. It started off as a slice of life blog that chronicled my life as a waiter/bartender. I thought I was going to be the next waiterrant.net. It morphed from that to a blog about my life in Memphis. Then a miracle happened and I became a Daddy Blogger (I can’t believe I used to write like that.)
This blog is a Daddy Blog. Recent conversations with JTRigsby, Bob Hazlett, Dave Barger, and Chris Brogan has made me realize that I want to write about other things. Also I was listening to C.C. Chapman’s Managing The Gray Podcast called Buckets on the way to Vegas and it really got me thinking. C.C. got introduced as a Daddy Blogger and was shocked because he is more than that. I heard C.C. speak in Vegas. He talked about passions and funneling your passion.
Being a Dad is one of my passions. One of many passions. I though for awhile I just wanted to be a Daddy Blogger and that was it. I am no way done with blogging about being a dad. I am just looking to expand my horizons. Some of it comes because I was recently laid off. While searching for jobs, I have been looking into social media jobs. A great majority of them ask for writing samples or blog posts relating to that kind of thing.
I am going to start writing about marketing, social media, and customer service. I am not going to write about here on this blog. I am going to start another blog. So if that peaks your interest watch this space for the announcement. I have to finish setting up the blog with plug-ins, themes, and all that good stuff.

Anytime I can inspire someone with something I say, write or share it makes my day. So of course this post gave me a huge amount of smiles.
I've really loved your content since we met in Vegas so as long as you keep creating it, I'll keep coming back no matter what the subject matter!
Best of luck in 2010!
Hey Buck,
So very glad that my contributions have helped you! As always, please give me a shout anytime I can lend a hand. I'm really looking forward to the new site and what it holds in store for us and for you!
@jtrigsby
Thanks C.C. Upside of me being layoff is I can now visit your sites.
Thanks for always being available to talk to me.
Right on, you're a rock star so I'm sure you'll come out swinging.
Looks like you're getting the hang of Thesis.
