Father’s Day was great!  I had a full day planned out with family.  I woke up and went to breakfast with my in laws at Perkins in Germantown.  I had their Farmer’s Market omelet and it was excellent.  It was funny all the dads; me, my father-in-law, and brother-in-law; were reading the newspaper.  It was almost like a scene from a movie.  Speaking of movies,  my brother-in-law and I came up with a plan to go see Toy Story 3.

We had about an hour and half before the start of the movie, so my wife, my daughter,  and I went back to our house.  This is the first year my daughter has been able to vocalize what she wants to get people as gifts.  She decided that Daddy needed money for coffee at Dunkin Donuts (and donuts for her).  I got a hand made card from both my wife and my daughter and got a gift card to Dunkin Donuts.

After that I met my brother-in-law at the movie theater.  I had no intention of going to see a movie on opening weekend.  Heck, the last movie I saw in a theater was Transformers 2, I think.  Toy Story 3 was awesome.  You can google any review and it will more verbose that I can produce.  In fact, GeekDad has a 10 Things Parents Should Know About Toy Story 3.  I must be cold hearted because I didn’t cry at the end but I rarely cry at the movies.

My daughter was ready for a nap and apparently so was I.  I fell asleep for about two hours and woke up because my family was calling because I was supposed to have met them for dinner.  I was a little late but made it in time for dinner.  We ate at Dan McGuinness.

All in all it was a great father’s day!
