I got a job

After about 3 months of being out of work, I found a job.  I am going to be working in Memphis as an Executive Team Lead of Asset Protection for Target.  Executive Team Lead is what Target calls their managers.  Asset Protection is sometimes called Loss Prevention in retail.  I started the job about 3 weeks ago.

I want to thank all of you that sent well wishes, job leads, prayers, and support.  It was a long 3 months.  I had a ton of phone interviews, went on numerous job interviews, and had two offers before I decided on the Target job.  It was a tough decision but I weighed all the pros and cons.  Target was the best decision for me and my family.

I am very excited about the Target job.  I am learning so much and challenges me daily.  I am enjoying it more than I thought I would.  I am excited what the future and what it holds.

Congrats Buck! Best wishes to your family.

I am curious about how loss prevention works – maybe we can discuss it some time.

That’s cool. I used to work for a company where part of my territory was in Memphis. So I was there every other week. I might have even shopped at the Target where you work. Not that it really means anything now but, hey… small world. :)
