Sometimes I recommend a song and tell you that you can it can be found on iTunes or Amazon. I might be done with iTunes forever. Yesterday iTunes raised their price by 30% to most new releases (song most people want) to $1.29. Older songs are 99 cents. Some even older songs are 69 cents (ones no one is every going to download)

I say older songs with with a grain of salt. “Born in the USA” is $1.29. I would be done and just download it from Amazon because they are still 99 cents but unfortunately I have $44 tied up in my iTunes store account but after that I will go with the cheaper same song off Amazon.

What I don’t understand is why? iTunes can’t say it is supply and demand because last time I check its unlimited supply on their end. Also in these times when people are watching every single dollar why raise your price by 30%? Makes no sense at all. I know that the whole iTunes store is going DRM Free but who cares. I know that songs are now available through 3G but guess what I am old-school and use a computer not my phone.

What do you think of the price hike? Will you buy songs from iTunes or Amazon?
