So yesterday Building Camelot posted New Year’s Resolutions of a couple of different dad and how we would become better father’s in 2009. I was included. You can see mine by clicking here.
I’ll post them here later next week but those 10 there are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things that I want to change. I also have the 99 Things To Do Before I Die or as has been referred to thanks to the movie as a Bucket List. Those aren’t really resolutions but an on going list of things I want to do not change.
The Top Ten New Year’s Resolutions according to goalsguy.com and how they realte to me.
10. Reduce stress- I would love to be less stressed. A the holdiay time, it got so bad that my daughter asked me, “You stressed Daddy? Why?” Friendly reminder that she is 2 and could catch that.
9. Get organized- I am not sure that I will ever be organized as “organized people” see it. I work in organized chaos.
8. Volunteer and help others- I work in non-profit. I raise funds to help others. To me that is not enough. There are always oppurtinities to volunteer around here but with 2 jobs I sometimes don’t have time.
7. Learn something new- I am constantly learning new things almost daily. I started Tacky Christmas Sweaters, Everything Barack Obama Store. and A Christmas Story Store this last month and that was something new. I have a couple of other internet new thing that I will be trying in 2009.
6. Quit smoking- Not applicable. Don’t smoke.
5. Find their soul mate- Did that years ago.
4. Enjoy more time with family and friends- This is a big one for me, which hinges on number 3
3. Debt reduction- Hopefully with the retail job, I can get out of debt and do #4. It is not that I don’t make enough at the non-profit job to support my family. At my old job, I did not make enough and we were living off credit cards. I am paying for that now.
2. Stick to budget- I make the money, Chelsea does the bills.
1. Loose weight- I plan on buying a treadmill but TechyDad suggested a Wii and Wii Fit
. Wii
and Wii Fit
cost less than treadmill but I am still on the fence.
I have a couple of other resolutions but they are a little more private. What are your resolutions for 2009?

Tyler made us all more accountable by having us write down our goals and publishing them. Now we can’t back out.
