As a big guy, most people think I am never cold. As ironic as it is, I am a cold natured person. I love the summer. In the winter, I love jackets. That is why I live in the South. We have winters but the thing with our winters is that they are highly unpredictable. The day can start off at 30 degress and be near 70 by the afternoon, you go inside for a iced coffee and come back out and it’s 40. We also get one day of snow, yes only one day all winter long!
This is why the Land’s End SnowSystem Jacket is great. The Land’s End SnowSystemâ„¢ Jacket wears three ways, to take on any weather. The outer shell and inside liner are designed to wear separately or zip together for maximum protection.
The outer shell features our exclusive AquaCheck® laminate, to give you waterproof protection that’s breathable. It also comes with pit zips to vent off excess heat, a zip-out powder skirt to keep the snow out on those epic ski runs and an adjustable hood with welded visor. Along with all that, there are interior mesh sunglass, goggle and cell phone pockets along with a zip-close MP3 player pocket with cord port. The inner jacket/liner is made from DriOff™-treated polyester with our exclusive PolarThin™ insulation for warmth without bulk. Two zip-close hand pockets and an inner zippered security pocket finish it off. 100% nylon shell. 100% polyester lining. Machine wash. Imported.
Some other cool things is the jacket has an interior, mesh sunglass, goggle and cell phone pockets, as well as a zip-close MP3 player pocket with cord port. The jacket comes in four colors: Gray, Black, Dark Lupine and the aforementioned Canyon Orange, and retails for $169.50 $127.13.
Other cool features:
- Waterproof, breathable outer shell with AquaCheck® laminate
- Zip-out inner jacket with PolarThinâ„¢ insulation and DriOffâ„¢ finish
- Outer jacket features zip-off, snap close powder skirt
- Wear each jacket separately or combine for high-tech, severe-weather protection
- TEMPERATURE RATING: -10° to 15° Fahrenheit. Use this as a comfort range for the type of climate you’ll be wearing this SnowSystem Jacket in while wearing a typical winter wardrobe.
The Good: No matter what I can be conformable in the jacket. It doesn’t bunch up or feel bulking when I drive with it on. It has solid craftsmanship and keeps me warm.
The Bad: My watch gets caught on the interior layer when it is all assembled. Also some of the interior pockets don’t seem sturdy but there are plenty of all pockets for your valuables.
Overall: I would highly recommend it!
