Parent Project 365 – Day 3: The Book

For Christmas, my daughter got the book, Once Upon A Princess (Amazon Affiliate link).  Before we begin our bed time routines, Danni has to clean up her room.  Our bed time routine is that, Danni gives hugs and kisses to Mommy which involves 4 or 5 different kinds of kisses.  I then carry her to the room, she runs back for another hug, and we say prayers.

After Christmas we added reading the book before prayers.  Once we got the book, I told her we would read one chapter a night.  Every night she goes to clean her room and lays the book out for me to read.  I like that.  I like that she leaves me a little reminder.  I like that it is important to her and she doesn’t want anyone to forget.
