Traveling and finding places to eat, Souplantation deals

by BuckDaddy on August 21, 2009

I travel for work sometimes. Recently, I was in Tulsa, OK. Coming up I have trips planned to Asheville, NC; Orlando, FL; and possibly Vegas. When traveling I usually don’t know where to eat. I have two ways I find places to eat when traveling. One is I ask a local either by Twitter or in person when I get there. The other is I use Urban Spoon. I don’t have an iPhone yet but Urban Spoon has a great web app as well as an iPhone app. Maybe I should write a blog post about Urban Spoon.

After I find a place to eat, I research, research, and research on to find deals. I look for deals that kids eat free, discounts, or winning prizes for eating at a restaurant. Like I mentioned before I am going to Orlando and I think Chelsea, my wife, and Danni, my daughter, might come to. I found a great place to eat called Souplantion. They have locations all over the place just none here in TN.
They have this great promotion going right now but unfortunately it will be over by the time I get to Orlando. Every two weeks from now until the end of September, the restaurant will feature food from a different region. anyone who knows me I love Mexican.
The current theme is Mexico and includes irresistible delights like Azteca Taco Salad and Posole with Pork Soup!! They also have special placemats for kids which correspond to each region and include coupons for discounts at local attractions and suggestions for “Staycations”. This is great because some of my travel in Florida will be at a conference and Chelsea and Danni will need things to do.

Also they have a “Where in the World Is Sweetie?” contest for a chance to win great prizes like Visa gift cards and additional dining passes just by following @souplantation on Twitter or joining our Facebook group.

Details on the Passport Promotion and the “Where in the World is Sweetie?” contest are available by following this link. Sweetie is there tomato mascot. And if you can’t get to Souplantation in time for the Mexico menu, don’t worry because coming up soon are Greece and Asia!
